We look at the various muslim-friendly options available and how to order halal food in Barcelona. We’ll deep dive in the post with a comparison table explaining the various types of halal restaurants in Spain's second city.

A beautiful coastline view

Restaurant Arabica

One of the most enjoyable things about this restaurant is the hospitality of the employees and host. The restaurant is run by a lovely family who makes you feel welcome and ensure you are at comfort and satisfaction. The prices are very good for the portions and quality of food you receive. The food at this restaurant is through the roof- the dishes are packed full of flavour and spices, and the meals on offer range cuisines from Morroco, Lebanon, and Arabia.

The restaurant has a nice warm atmosphere and is very relaxed, a great place to go with family and friends. Overall, the experience and food at this restaurant are unforgettable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling in Barcelona.

Restaurante Shiraz

Restaurante Shiraz is one of the best Persian restaurants I have ever come across. The restaurant is absolutely spotless, even the bathrooms! The service is fast and the workers are very attentive, kind and charming. Everything is well decorated and the restaurant itself has a warm, cozy ambiance to it.

The menu offers a huge range of starters, sides, drinks, cuisines, and desserts all for a reasonable price for the experience, quantity, and quality of the food you receive. I have been to the restaurant multiple times just because of how good it is and it has never failed to impress.

L'Amfora

At the L’amfora restaurant, you will be able to get a fully authentic Spanish cuisine that is completely halal. Their expansive menu offers a range of cuisines from paellas to stew to delightful desserts. The service at this restaurant is very fast and the workers are attentive and kind. All of them speak English, making it easier for those who use the language. The location of the L’amfora is very convenient as it is only a 15-minute walk from the city center so you can visit shops and tourist locations before and after eating there!

Not only is the interior very classy- but the food too! The plating and presentation at this restaurant are some of the best I have ever seen... definitely Instagram-worthy!

Bembi Restaurante

The Indian cuisines offered at the Bembi are some of the best you will find in the whole of Barcelona. The food here is cooked full of flavour and spice which complements the well-decorated interior of the restaurant. The whole experience here almost makes you feel as if you have been transported to India! The service is very fast and the workers cater to all your needs, whether it’s your spice tolerance or a picky toddler.

The prices at the Bembi are reasonable for the portions and quality you get of food you receive. I would completely recommend the Bembi Restaurante if you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine.

Bella Istanbul

There are many Turkish restaurants all over Barcelona but this is one you cannot miss. Nothing can compare to the amazing interior and architecture of Bella Istanbul. As you walk in you are welcomed with a warm ambiance and beautiful hanging lamps above your head. The menu offers great value for money as the prices are very affordable and the portions generous.

The waiters at the restaurant are very friendly and check in with you every so often. The food here is marvellous and some of the best kebabs you will find in the whole of Barcelona.

Eat Caribbean

Eat Caribbean has one of the most relaxed and warm atmospheres I have ever seen. The location is a bit small and rundown, giving a rustic effect to your experience. The food Eat Caribbean offers range from all sorts of Caribbean cuisine and desserts. The food is spicy and packed with flavour, of course, if you are not a fan of spice the workers can attend to that as the service here is amazing.

The employees at this restaurant are sweet and attentive, you can even talk to the chef! The prices at this restaurant are very good as the prices aren’t too expensive and the portions are very generous. Eat Caribbean is a must-go.

Vapiano Gran Via

Vapiano Gran Via is a must-go for anyone visiting Barcelona. Not only for the food but the experience too. The cuisine is prepared in front of you by talented chefs and workers. The service here is very friendly and they assist you with ordering from the menu if needed. The menu here is very simple, general Italian food- pasta, pizza, etc, - but do not let that make you doubt the standard of food at this restaurant at all.

The interior is well decorated and is completely spotless and the food is plated very well. Vapiano Gran Via will let you taste the full experience of fresh, organic Italian cuisine- a ten out of ten for me.
